Academic Leaves

Faculty interested in taking leave time should first consult with their department head for policies and procedures as related to their unit.  Specific information on State and University policy related to vacation time, sick leave, holidays, workers compensation, military leave, and other miscellaneous leaves can be found on the Human Resources website.  

Faculty wishing to take leave for academic endeavors should consult the sabbatical policy herein or the leave of absence policy that may be requested for professional or personal reasons.  The Family Friendly Practices link is found here because it includes leaves policy information that can be helpful if you are unable to work or expect to miss work for a myriad of reasons including the birth of a child, a personal or family medical situation, or the need to care for a family member.
