Professional Development Policy Development

We are writing to inform you of the last and final policy that the UO/UA collective bargaining agreement requires: professional development.

Winter 2017 Update

January 12, 2017

During winter term the Office of the Provost and Academic Affairs (OPAA) will be focusing on reviewing and approving TTF professional responsibilities policies, TTF review and promotion policies, and completing the review of NTTF review and promotion policies.

Some units are finalizing some of their policies, but the majority of the CBA-required policies, with the exception of professional development, have been submitted and approved. 

Tentative Agreement

October 7, 2015 - On August 14, 2015 the University of Oregon and United Academics of the University of Oregon, AFT/AAUP, AFL-CIO reached a tentative agreement for the 2015-2018 collective bargaining agreement between the parties. This draft version [PDF] reflects the tentative agreement and the various changes made through the course of bargaining.

August 21, 2015 update

August 21, 2015 - Implementation of the first CBA continues with the development and approval of NTTF and TTF professional responsibilities, and promotion and review policies. Academic Affairs is currently finalizing approval of internal governance policies and beginning to review NTTF professional responsibilities and promotion and review policies. During fall 2015, units will submit TTF professional responsibilities policies to Academic Affairs for review. Any questions can be addressed to aacba@uoregon.edu.
