Emeritus Appointments
Upon retirement, tenured faculty members may be nominated for emeritus / emerita status by their dean or department head. Emeritus / emerita status confers with it the right to participate in faculty governance. The University's Tenure Reduction, Retirement and Emeriti Committee works with the provost to assure the continued healthy relationships between the University, its active faculty and their retired colleagues.
