Faculty Development & Support

The University of Oregon embodies the highest standard of academic inquiry and learning, and values the integration of teaching, research and service that is essential to the intellectual and overall health of our university and beyond.  The Office of Academic Affairs supports this standard by providing foundational assistance, resources, and a variety of training and workshop opportunities aimed at providing UO faculty members with the tools necessary to enhance their academic endeavors, development, and success.  This office also recognizes the many challenges of evolving social, political, and technological environments that play a role in the life of our faculty.  Your suggestions for future training or workshop opportunities, as well as input to enhance this office's ability to support faculty are welcome. 

In addition to workshops, there are many ways to broaden your research, teaching, and travel portfolios.  The resources for faculty development are pervasive.  Because so many units across campus offer opportunities for faculty development and support, this area of our website is a compilation of our efforts with those of others - take a look - it is our sincerest hope that you will be encouraged in a variety of ways and continue the pattern of excellent academic activity for which UO faculty is so aptly known.
