Faculty Evaluation

The expectation of performance across the University of Oregon is one of high academic standards. Although responsibilites differ with the varied faculty appointments, disciplines, departments, schools and colleges, this standard applies to all. For specific information regarding the requirements for your personal circumstances, your dean and department head are your best resources, with Academic Affairs being the supporting unit for the overall process.

Each department on campus is required to provide Academic Affairs with a written statement explaining the criteria used within that department to evaluate faculty for promotion and tenure.
