Transforming lives is the mission of our institution. There are numerous resources across campus aimed at assisting faculty in this mission and helping students in their academic pursuits. Below you will find suggestions for engaging students in a variety of different styles, and tools to help students beyond the classroom or in the elimination of barriers that hinder education. The Teaching Effectiveness Program  The University of Oregon supports the teaching endeavors of its faculty and graduate students through the Teaching Effectiveness Program (TEP), a division of Academic Learning Services. The Teaching Effectiveness Program offers a variety of activities and services to engage the academic community focus on teaching and learning, obtaining feedback on their teaching performance, and improving undergraduate instruction. TEP services are free to all who teach.

The Office of Multicultural Academic Support  Expertise provided by the Office of Multicultural Academic Support (OMAS) advising staff enhances the college life for self identified students of color by providing tools to make a difference in their college career.  OMAS' academic advisors provide personal attention to students as they monitor academic progress, assess student needs, and advocate for students through appropriate advising and referral services.  

Office of Academic Advising  The Office of Academic Advising (OAA) provides academic advising and related services to all students. Assistance is provided to help students make the best possible use of academic resources and to facilitate academic progress and success. 

Teaching & Learning Center  Overcoming obstacles to effective teaching and learning often requires more than teachers and students can accomplish individually. Programs, workshops, courses, tutors, and mentors are among the many resources we provide to help with educational pursuits at the University of Oregon

Disability Services  Disability Services collaborates with students, faculty, staff and the community to create an educational environment that is useable, equitable, sustainable, and inclusive for all members of the university community.

Student Affairs  The Division of Student Affairs develops and administers university and unit policies to assure that students at the University of Oregon are supported in their academic and personal development and challenged to develop as individuals through an array of curricular experiences. The Student Affairs staff plays a significant role in preparing students for a culture of learning in a global and diverse society.

Office of Student Life  The Office of Student Life staff is dedicated to helping students have the most successful experience they can while studying at the University of Oregon. Staff are available to help find solutions and resources for most issues and concerns on a drop-in basis.

Student Conduct and Community Standards Here you can find information regarding the student conduct code and the processes related.  The Student Conduct Code is a set of standards and regulations that describe the rights, privileges and responsibilities of students at the University of Oregon.  Included is:  a list of behaviors that are violations of University standards of conduct; possible sanctions for such conduct; procedures by which violations are resolved; the procedural rights of students allegedly involved in Conduct Code violations; and a list of general student rights and responsibilities.  Some related issued include but are not limited to sexual harassment and assault, racial, gender or sexual orientation harassment, acceptable use policy, cheating, and Greek governance.

Conflict Resolution Services  CRS is a resource for University of Oregon students who are looking for mediation, facilitation and related services.

Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Educational & Support Services  "Promoting a supportive environment at the University of Oregon for LGBT students, faculty, and staff through support services and educational efforts designed to reduce heterosexism, gender bias and homophobia."

Substance Abuse Prevention and Education  The Substance Abuse Prevention Program (SAPP) is designed to provide education and to increase awareness in the areas of alcohol and other drug prevention, intervention, treatment, and recovery.

Office of International Programs This site offers information on International Student and Scholar Services; Study Abroad Programs; the Mills International Center; AHA International; and International Advancement and Alumni Relations.  Additional information of interest to international students can also be found here.

Graduate School  The Graduate School website can direct you to educational opportunities for students as well as process and procedures that can help you help your students in thier academic pursuits.  GTF policies and procedures are found here as well as Thesis and Dissertations Manual & Writing Resources.

The Society of College Scholars   The society offers bright and motivated undergraduates the opportunity to participate in an honors program that includes intensive interaction with faculty and like-minded students. The program includes seminars and small General Education Group-Satisfying courses during the first two years at the university. Upper division students enjoy access to subsidized internships and can work with faculty on research projects leading to graduation with honors.  The Society aims to attract and challenge academically strong and inquisitive students and to promote the core values of a liberal arts education: curiosity and critical reasoning about the world and the self, written, oral, and artistic expression, and ethical and moral judgment.

Student Athlete - Academic Services  The athletics department addresses the primary objective of its student athletes with the work of its academic support staff.  The academic support team acts as a bridge between the student athlete and campus resources, ensuring that they are aware of and use the resources the university has to offer.  Additional services include aiding faculty whose students may have conflicts with extended sports tournaments and finals.
