Deadlines for Submission of Promotion and Tenure Files

All Schools and Colleges: Deans send a list of those in the School/College being considered for promotion and/or tenure to the Office of Academic Affairs. Subsequent revisions may be made in this list. Upon receipt of names of candidates, the Office of Academic Affairs will send each school or college binders with divided sections to be filled with the required elements of the review. (Black - to be kept in the Dean's office (two of these for CAS), and red, blue and green to be submitted to Academic Affairs.) |

College of Arts and Sciences: Complete Dossiers should be submitted by departments in the College Arts and Sciences to the Office of the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, with supporting materials. |
| November 30 |
All Schools and Colleges (excluding CAS): Dossiers involving sixth-year cases or other cases where a negative decision would lead to giving a terminal notice should be submitted by professional schools to the Office of Academic Affairs with supporting documents including publications, student evaluations, portfolios, etc. Note that each school or college may have its own earlier deadline for internal review through the level of the relevant Office of the Dean of the School or College. |

All Schools and colleges (excluding CAS): Last date for submitting all other dossiers for faculty in the professional schools to the Office of Academic Affairs with supporting documents. Note that each school or college may have its own earlier deadline for internal review through the level of the relevant Office of the Dean of the School or College. |

College of Arts and Sciences (CAS): Last date for submitting dossiers from the College of Arts and Sciences to the Office of Academic Affairs. |
Note that these dates have been revised. The deadlines will be firmly followed. Dossiers arriving at the Office of Academic Affairs after the deadlines will be subject to deferral to the following academic year.
Dossiers should be submitted promptly upon completion. This will greatly facilitate the work of the review committees.

Miscellaneous Dates:
Annual Review: spring of years 1,2, & 4
Contract Renewal: spring of year 3
Promotion and Tenure Review: beginning spring of year 5 with a decision by spring of year 6
Post Tenure Review (once every three years after tenure)
