INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNOLOGY RESIDENT FACULTY FELLOWSHIP AWARDS
2007-08 Academic year - Winter/Spring terms only
Target audience: 4-6 faculty members who are highly proficient with IT and are interested in collaborating with an existing UO IT support unit (such as CET, TEP, WHP, Yamada, SSIL, Etc.) to develop methods to increase the effective use of new tools to enhance pedagogical goals and to provide active mentoring to other faculty. Faculty Resident Fellows will receive a one course buy-out. Applications will be due by June 29, 2007.
SUMMER ONLY WORKSHOPS
MULTIMEDIA FOR TEACHING AND RESEARCH (session 1)
June 18-22, 2007
Target Audience: Faculty who are IT literate and comfortable with using their computer for "normal" tasks (word processing, email, web searches, Blackboard) and are looking to extend or refine their ability to use multimedia tools in teaching and research. Applications available online beginning December 15, 2006. Application review process will begin February 1, 2007 and continue until workshop is full. Faculty award: $1500
MULTIMEDIA FOR TEACHING AND RESEARCH (session 2)
September 10-14, 2007

COURSE REDESIGN FOR HYBRID LEARNING
July 13 – August 3, 2007
Target audience: 6 to 10 faculty members who are already familiar with the Blackboard system and are interested in radically restructuring a UO course to adhere to a hybrid form. This course will meet one day per week and utilize hybrid methods in its delivery to supplement in-class time. Applications available online beginning December 15, 2006. Application review process will begin February 1, 2007 and continue until workshop is full. Faculty award: $2500
TEACHING AT A DISTANCE: IP VIDEOCONFERENCING COURSE DELIVERY
Sept. 10-14, 2007
Target Audience: Faculty who are currently engaged or expected to be engaged in broadcast video courses, or those faculty that have a sincere interest in constructing and using Video on Demand technology as an integral part of their course. Applications available online beginning December 15, 2006. Application review process will begin February 1, 2007 and continue until workshop is full. Faculty award: $1500
