The university assists faculty and staff members in balancing their work and personal lives by offering the services and programs outlined below.

Child Care - UO has 3 child care programs that provide high-quality care by professional early-childhood educators.

Resource and Referral - Personal consultation and information about campus and community programs for children.

Educational Programs, Information and Support Groups - Information on parenting, caregiving, eldercare and other family issues; publications on summer camps and students interested in providing child or elder care.

Lactation Support - A family-friendly campus space and lactation support room that provides comfort, privacy and a hospital-quality breast pump.

The University of Oregon contracts with Cascade Centers, Inc. to provide short-term professional counseling or assessment and referral services at no cost for employees, their dependents and all members of their immediate households who are experiencing personal problems.
