The City of Eugene

Often the Office of Academic Affairs recieves inquiries regarding renting or listing a house in the Eugene area.  Although we do not have such a list ourselves, the Associated Students of the University of Oregon has a site. For an explanation of the service, see the ASUO Rentals help page.  Although the site is primarily intended for students, there is a section of listings for landlords who want to rent only to faculty and staff members. There's also a sabbaticals section that lists properties open to academics and may include exchanges. If you have questions, the e-mail and telephone contact information for ASUO Rental Services is at the bottom of that page.

Another possible source may be the academic department or administrative office with which you may be associated during your campus visit. Sometimes UO faculty members who are on sabbatical leave list their homes with their department.  If you are unfamiliar with Eugene, the local paper is The Register-Guard, the Institutional news is the Oregon Daily Emerald, and another local resource is the Eugene Weekly newspaper.
