The Office of Academic Affairs and the Center on Diversity and Community are pleased to announce the Ersted Distinguished Teaching Awards Series. Beginning this winter, recipients of the Ersted award will share their thoughts, experiences, and insights as related to the theme of "Engaging Diverse Learners in the Classroom." This series will provide opportunity for shared knowledge and conversations that will enhance the creative, effective and inclusive teaching that lends itself to the academic excellence we strive for here at the UO. The complex nature of the diverse issues our institution has prioritized makes sharing the vast range of expertise among our colleges an unequivocal resource and who better to start these conversations than our distinguished teachers.

Please join our colleague Dr. Ronald A. Beghetto, Associate Professor in Educational Studies as he kicks off the series on Monday, March 2nd in the Knight Library Browsing Room. Dr. Beghetto is a recipients of a 2006 Ersted Award.

Lunch will be served to the first twenty-five (25) members of the university community who register. Lunch will begin at 11:30 and Dr. Beghetto¹s presentation at 12:00. To register, contact Tim McMahon, timmc@uoregon.edu.
