The University of Oregon has partnered with many colleges and universities in Oregon to form the Greater Oregon Higher Education Recruitment Consortium (GO HERC). This consortium provides a single, central website that lists all job openings at each participating institution. For more details, review the GO HERC August 2013 announcement [PDF].
This consortium supports our institutional goals in two critical ways.
Institutional Diversity. Our institutional membership in GO HERC provides substantial discounts for job advertisements in numerous publications and on numerous sites, including many with established track records for underrepresented minority recruitment. Please see http://www.hercjobs.org/member_institutions/member_discounts/ for more details.
Dual Career Hiring. GO HERC job listings are easily searched by job type, keyword, and geography, making this site a critical element in dual-career hiring situations, complementing our current dual career program. Our candidates’ partners can determine how far they are willing to commute and can make initial judgments about dual career possibilities early in the search process.
Numerous other benefits and resources are listed online at http://www.hercjobs.org/greater_oregon/resources_for_member_institutions/ .
