This workshop will help new unit heads develop a plan for how to define, develop, evaluate and reward quality teaching in their unit. Lee Rumbarger, assistant vice provost for teaching engagement and TEP director, and Sierra Dawson, associate vice provost for academic affairs, will help new unit heads navigate the University Senate-led movement to ensure Teaching Evaluation is fair and transparent, is conducted against a definition of teaching quality and aligned criteria, and includes input from students, peers and the faculty themselves.
