Appointments for faculty and officers of administration are initiated at the unit level at the time of hire with support from Academic Affairs. Offer letters and appointments for tenure-track and instructional non-tenure-track faculty members are approved by the senior vice provosts for academic affairs. Offer letters for research non-tenure-track faculty members are approved by the Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation. The process for initiating a search, recruitment and selection of candidates, and completing the hire can be found on the Human Resources website .
